Summary
Self-promotion is an essential aspect of networking effectively across career stages. However, networking and self-promotion can be uncomfortable and imposture syndrome can prevent people from effectively engaging in these career advancement strategies. In addition, social media (e.g., Twitter, LinkedIn) has become an important space for students and new professionals to make professional connections and increase the visibility of their work. In this session, Claire Kamp Dush, Ph.D., will review and discuss strategies for overcoming imposture syndrome and effectively engage in self-promotion as a tool for career advancement. The session will end with a facilitated question and answer session.
