Summary
Using an ambiguous loss framework (Boss, 1999; 2007), this paper presents experiences of Cambodian American men who were deported from the U.S. to Cambodia and their families. From qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews conducted in Cambodia, we discuss three major themes that emerged: unclear loss and boundary ambiguity, frozen grief, and a sense of betrayal. We highlight the ambiguous nature of their losses and the paradox of physical absence/psychological presence that leads to boundary ambiguity. We share examples of ways they are ‘stuck’ or unable to 'move on'. We also consider a rather unique application of ambiguous loss – the ambiguity of these deported men’s relationship with country or national identification. We share poignant quotes through which their grief is evident in each of these three themes. Finally, we bring awareness of an immigration policy that has kept thousands of deported immigrants’ experiences ‘in the shadows’.

Summary
In this presentation, we report on a scoping review study to identify individual, family, and community factors of resilience in Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) migrants in North America. This study is situated within the framework of intersectionality, specifically, positive intersectionality which suggests that individuals with multiple marginalized identities may develop resilience as a spillover effect of embracing one marginalized identity and socially connecting with that community. Using guidelines identified by Arksey & O’Malley (2005) and further refined by Levac et al., (2010), we have completed three steps of the six-step process. A total of 237 articles were initially identified from five databases. After processes of elimination following inclusion criteria, we expect a total of 25-30 articles in our final review. Final results will be available for presentation at the conference. Implications of this study are in areas of policy, practice, and research in affirmative services for SGM migrants.

Summary
Given the recent rapid changes to the fertility policy in mainland China, married couples are now allowed to have up to three children. It is vital to explore and help researchers and families to understand the family dynamics among multiple-children urban Chinese families. The current study collected marital satisfactions, parents’ differential treatments to both children, and sibling relationship quality from both mothers and fathers. Actor partner interdependence model was conducted to examine the associations among parents' marital satisfactions and parents’ differential treatment-favoritism; among parents’ marital satisfactions and parents’ perceptions of sibling rivalry. Results revealed mother marital satisfaction was positively related to mother favoritism towards younger sibling over older sibling. Mother marital satisfaction was negatively related to mother’s perceived sibling rivalry. Mother marital satisfaction and father marital satisfaction were highly associated. Mother’s perceived sibling rivalry was positively related to father’s perceived sibling rivalry.
