    Good news for busy families! Jerica M. Berge, Ph.D., MPH, LMFT, CFLE, reports that just a few meals a week is enough to reap the benefits of families dining together. Her research on family meals has been reported by several news outlets, most recently in a Minnesota's Star Tribune newspaper.

    Julia M. Bernard, Ph.D., LMFT, CFLE, has been promoted to an associate professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Bernard will also be transitioning into the human services program coordinator position, having previously served as an undergraduate program coordinator.

    NCFR board member, Brian G. Ogolsky, Ph.D., was honored with the Teaching Award by the International Association for Relationship Research (IARR). Dr. Ogolsky is an associate professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and the editor of IARR's Relationship Research News.

    Doctoral candidate Chang Su-Russell, MA, CFLE, is the winner of the 2018 Donald K. Anderson Award for Graduate Teaching at the University of Missouri. Next year she will be a faculty member at Illinois State University.
