Member News: Linda Behrendt Appointed to ISU Master Teacher Program

Congratulations to Linda Behrendt, Ph.D., CFLE for being appointed Coordinator of the Master Teacher Program through the Faculty Center for Teaching Excellence at Indiana State University (ISU). The creation of the Master Teacher Program aims to develop highly effective educators at ISU to ensure student success through the provision of a comprehensive set of opportunities to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Dr. Behrendt, associate professor in the department of applied health sciences, has been a faculty member at ISU since 2003. She is a member of the faculty/staff council of the university's Nonprofit Leadership Alliance chapter, which prepares students for careers in the nonprofit sector, and serves as director of the human development and family studies program in the department of applied health sciences.

Behrendt holds a bachelor's degree in education from Concordia University in River Forest, Ill., a master's in counseling from San Diego State University and a Ph.D. in family and child ecology from Michigan State. She has also completed graduate coursework at the California School of Professional Psychology and the University of Nebraska.
