Robert Guy Ryder, 79
NCFR member Dr. Robert Guy Ryder passed away at his home in Willington, Connecticut, on Feb. 6, 2014, at age 79.
Dr. Ryder was an NCFR member for more than 45 years. During his lifetime, he worked as the chief of the marriage research section at the National Institutes of Health, and as a faculty member at the University of Connecticut, where he served as the dean of the School of Family Studies and the director of the Marriage and Family Therapy training program. He served as president of the Groves Conference on Marriage and Family, and president of the board of the journal Family Process, among other professional affiliations.
