NCFR Honors Student Recognition Program

NCFR awarded honors recognition to 47 students in spring 2017 and three students in summer 2017.

By recognizing exceptional scholarship, leadership and community service in the family field of graduating undergraduate and graduate students through its honors student recognition program, the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) wishes to honor worthy recipients, and encourage them to continue contributing to the field of family science.

Students can submit applications for themselves, or be nominated by a college/university faculty or staff person, or employer.

Applications should be sent early in the final term of the student's degree program. Current postmarked-by deadlines are:

  • March 1 for spring term graduates
  • June 1 for summer-term graduates
  • Oct. 1 for fall-term graduates

Applications are reviewed by a panel of NCFR members who are faculty in university family programs. Applicants will be notified of whether they have been awarded honors approximately four to five weeks after the application deadline.
