Guidance for Family Practitioners to Manage Stress
Presenter: Amber Allen, CFLE
Work-related stress is a common problem due to job obligations increasingly exceeding an employee’s capacity and capability to cope. Deadlines for deliverables are only exacerbated by the expectations of colleagues, students, and families. Work-related stress can also be brought into the home, increasing the toll on one’s health and well-being. Whether stress is brief or prolonged, managing it is an essential part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
This webinar will discuss stressors that can challenge the ability to meet one’s goals and explore strategies to enhance focus and productivity. Attendees will be guided through how to recognize and address stress and will be provided with practical tools to maintain their well-being and professional effectiveness. This webinar will be particularly beneficial for Certified Family Life Educators (CFLEs), family and couple therapists, those working with families, and even those educating students to work with families.
By the end, attendees will be able to:
-
Identify different types of stress
-
Understand the physical and emotional impact of stress on well-being
-
